Stephen knew early on that he wanted to be an entertainer. He started playing guitar in 7th grade, and sang anywhere that people would listen: church, the car, the grocery store... Anywhere. On a full scholarship, he attended East Tennessee State University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education, performing in jazz bands and wind ensembles, a cappella chorales and the prestigious vocal band "5 Bucs Worth." He shared stages with Maynard Ferguson, the Harvard Men's Glee Club, and bandmates who would go on to win Grammy Awards. After years of performing in churches and small garage bands, the love of entertaining would reignite with a simple idea: how could audiences be more involved with live music? And so the Acoustic Jukebox began in Spring 2023. Since then, audiences all over the Kentuckiana region have begun to see a new way of engaging with live music: digital requests performed faithfully to the recordings you love, with the creativity of one man, one guitar, and live looping. The shared experience of live music brings us together: and the Acoustic Jukebox brings it to life.
